Suresh Kumar Varma opens the first showroom at J.S Market Complex, Laxmi Bazar, Dhenkanal. The founding principle: transparent pricing and BIS‑certified gold for every customer.
Direct sourcing partnerships established with master artisan guilds in Kerala and Bombay, bringing authentic regional craftsmanship to Dhenkanal for the first time.
Varma Alankar introduces a dedicated Diamond section with IGI‑certified solitaires and gemstone jewellery — one of the first such offerings in the Dhenkanal district.
A landmark addition: imported Turkish Gold designs, known for their matte geometric patterns and lightweight luxury, become a category at Varma Alankar.
Introduced itemised digital billing and WhatsApp consultation services, allowing customers to receive full price breakdowns before visiting the showroom.

Each design in our collection is personally selected by Suresh Kumar Varma from certified artisan guilds in Bombay, Kerala, Turkey and local Odisha workshops.

Our diamond jewellery comes with IGI or GIA certificates specifying Cut, Colour, Clarity, and Carat — so you know exactly what you're buying.
